A diesel engine needs a supply of air and fuel in order to run.. The fuel supply may be checked by slightly looseng the filter outlet with the ignition iswitched on. As regards the air supply, it is possible for mice to get into the air filter and cause havoc. Remove the filter cover and element to check for damage.

DBK said: No, on EHU the cab battery won't be charged, the battery charger will only charge the leisure batteries. This is why a Battery Master is a great extra. There are alternatives but the BM does the job. To be fair, some do charge the cab battery when on EHU. It depends on the converter & what they fit.
After few minutes the engine stops and cannot be started (measured rail pressure is 200-300 bar when turning with a starter) , only after a few hours the engine starts as before. replaced fuel filter, new spark plugs and camshaft position sensor under the fuel rail, but still the same.
Hi ALL, I HAVE A fiat ducato 3.0 160 multijet engine with 6 speed auto box, its a motorhome, today I drove home from aweekend away trouble free for over 100 miles, got home turned off engine, unloaded it, 20 mins later went to start it to move it, and it would not start. With the help of the
We then graphed the fuel pressure and cranked her for 30+ seconds until she started. The pressure slowly rose until it reached 140 engine coughed and the pressure fell back down to 100. This was about the 25 second mark. at 32 seconds of cranking the pressure was up to 150 and she started up.
I did not see any method of bleeding the air, from the system. I made sure that the heater was switched on, and left the cap off at the expansion tank. I have no problems. I would (when engine cold), remove expansion tank cap - put heater on, and see what happens, when coolant is warm enough to open thermostat.
The correct cylinders need fuel injection and air at exactly the right moment to start. Any dodgy sensor might mis time or inhibit the ecu. If you have a crank sensor error, it has been replaced, check more wiring. Doubt it has spontaneously gone out of time but a jolted start nothing is impossible.
Here is the breakdown of events: Starting attempt #1-. - First ignition position- some dash lights came on, headlights came on, no fuel prime sound heard. - Attempted to start engine- would not start but kicked over started motor. Attempted a few times. - Switched headlights off. - Switched ignition off.
Intermittent starting issues are often caused by a faulty or worn-out starter motor. If you experience sporadic problems starting your Peugeot Bipper, itβs crucial to have the starter motor inspected by a qualified mechanic.
