Found and fixed another restricted performance culprit. I had RS coming up after driving and pushing it a bit, ie right round the rev range changing up. Didn’t come up straight away but after 10mins of sprinted driving or acceleration at motorway speeds. Anything can cause the check engine light to go on from a loose gas cap, to a transmission issue. When the onboard computer detects an issue, it will restrict performance so as to not damage the engine any further. An Oil change won't affect this light. Open or short to ground in the wiring harness. The fixes are. Check the harness and connector to the O2 sensor for shorts or ground. Replace that O2 sensor.
